As we begin the sixth month of this years SES program we are excited to announce that everything is going well. We have been able to reach over 500 students in more than 10 counties and help them gain the knowledge and skills necessary to not only meet but exceed expectations. Through one-on-one, small group and afterschool tutorial programs we have been able to meet the academic needs of the students and parents we serve. With a dynamic staff of dedicated and hard-working tutors and a comprehensive curriculum aligned to the state standards, the students in the Math and Reading Wizards tutorial program are headed toward achieving their goal of significant improvement and mastery. As we continue to evolve as an SES provider we are constantly creating new and innovative methods of teaching and reaching students in need. But our mission of “rekindling the spirit of lives across the nation” does not end as the summer begins. Be on the lookout for the National Lighthouse Foundation programs and opportunities for academic enrichment over the summer and in the 2008-2009 academic year.
